DigiPathConnect develops a digital pathology platform combining AI and novel imaging to support cross-border collaboration and faster cancer diagnostics amid pathologist shortages in the Meuse-Rhine region. It will develop AI for colorectal disease classification and lung-cancer treatment-response prediction, while exploring mass spectrometry imaging integration. DigiPathConnect is led by Hasselt University, with partners Maastricht University, University of Liège, Uniklinik Köln, Pathomation BV and Aspect Analytics NV. It is funded by the EU Interreg Meuse-Rhine programme, with co-financing from Wallonia, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and North Rhine-Westphalia.
